YELLOW BIRCH

DESCRIPTION:

Origin: Canada, Northern Yellow Birch

Botanical name: Betula alleghaniensis

Sapwood: yellow

Heartwood: reddish brown

Features: straight grain wood; fine and uniform texture.

Dryind: KD

Treatment: HT

Qualities:

  • Saps: Selected tables coming mostly from the sapwood. Yellow color. See attached photo.
  • Natural: Heartwood wood, reddish brown. There are tables of heart. See attached photo
  • Unselected: Contains all the tables of the log. If there is any SAPS table in the log, it has not been separated.
